Now enjoying a well-earned retirement, Anne served for many years as a partner at Burnham, Capon & Wimer, LLC, where she built a distinguished career in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and elder law. Over more than twenty-five years in practice, Anne earned the trust and admiration of clients and colleagues alike through her exceptional legal skill, thoughtful counsel, and unwavering integrity.
Anne’s immeasurable talent, partnership, and mentorship set a gold standard within the firm. Her wisdom, professionalism, and generosity of spirit shaped the firm’s culture and helped define its enduring success. Those who had the privilege of being mentored by Anne or working alongside her are better lawyers and colleagues because of her influence.
Before joining Burnham, Capon & Wimer, Anne practiced at Berman, Bourns, Aaron & Dembo in West Hartford and served as Staff Attorney for the West Hartford Probate Court from 1997 to 1998. Her work focused on helping clients achieve tax-efficient wealth transfers, plan for future generations, and provide for disabled beneficiaries with care and foresight.
Anne lives with her spouse and children in Chaplin, Connecticut, in an antique home that has been in her spouse’s family for generations. The property includes a beautiful barn where her spouse’s band occasionally hosts concerts. Deeply engaged in her community, Anne also served for eight years on her town’s Board of Education.
